Progresiya I: 5-in-1 Women’s Empowerment Ecosystem, Inaugural Cohort

Launched in the fifth month of Russia’s full-scale invasion, Progresiya I brought together 100 Ukrainian women leaders through a 5-in-1 methodology combining education, mentoring, coaching, psychosocial support, and peer community — the only programme of its kind delivered at this scale in active wartime. Co-funded by the UN Women’s Peace & Humanitarian Fund.

Progresiya I was the founding cohort of AfterTomorrow’s signature women’s empowerment programme — designed and delivered at the height of the Russian invasion, when Ukrainian women faced simultaneous career disruption, displacement, and psychological crisis. The 5-in-1 ecosystem ran in full: structured education, senior mentoring, ICF-certified coaching, embedded psychological support, and peer community. This simultaneous architecture — not a sequence of modules — is what distinguishes Progresiya from standard training or mentoring programmes.

100 women were selected from 665 applicants, representing business (33%), civil society (34%), and government (33%). Priority was given to those facing compound barriers: internally displaced women, wives of fallen soldiers, women veterans, and survivors of sexual and gender-based violence.
